EBC Re-Gathering Guidelines COVID-19
On Sunday, June 7th we plan on having a socially distant worship service with guidelines in place.
The entire month of June we are planning:
Sunday-morning only service at 10am
Not permitting congregation into building prior to 9:45
Come into the building, head straight to the sanctuary. Drop your offering/tithe in the offering box at the entry to the sanctuary.
Please sit according to our entry time (first arrivers closest to the front, working toward the back.)
Please remain in your seat at the end of service until your row is dismissed (like a wedding)
On the first Sunday of July we are tentatively planning resuming Sunday Schools. Possible Sunday Evening and Wednesday Nights. We will provide more updates.
Reopening the building for gathered worship will have guidelines in place:
1) maintaining social distancing of 6ft except for families,
2) foregoing handshakes and hugs,
3) stay home if you have a temperature, are sick or ill, (if sneezing and coughing – ask to leave)
4) being strongly encouraged if you have health conditions or are older to continue joining via live-streaming,
5) bringing your own facemask if you feel you need one
We plan on taking pre-cautions to keep everyone safe as we re-gather:
No Small groups, children or nursery, no food fellowships, events or bus ministry for the time being.
No coffee, water fountains or snacks and no Communion will be observed at this time.
After service, we will be dismissing pews by row (like a wedding)
Re-sanitizing the sanctuary after service and cleaning restrooms and wiping down handles, foyer area, doors, light switches after service
If you are not comfortable re-gathering, please continue to join us during livestream. Whether together in person or in spirit, we are one in Christ. And we are nothing without Christ.
In Christ,
Ryan M. Marks

COVID-19 Response

Effective immediately, Emmanuel’s Building will be closed in light of COVID19. All events and ministries of the church are cancelled until further notice. When the ban is lifted, we are planning on having a workday and sanitizing the church.

During this time, however our church is not closed. You, Emmanuel Family, are the church. I want to encourage you more than ever to put to practice what we have just been looking at in God’s Word about discipleship. Call your church family and friends, let people know that you care. Being cooped up is not easy on anyone after a while. And while you are spending time around the home with your family spend this time together. Disciple your kids. Worship as a family.

Emmanuel Family, I know that this whole deal is not easy but lets choose to look at the positives. For those working, you have an opportunity to share the hope you have in Christ with people who may never have been open to Christ’s Good News. For those at home, there is a blessing for unhurried time with God, in prayer, in calling a friend that you haven’t talked to in a long time, in getting that rest that in our busy lives we often forsake but is the Lord’s blessing for us. Let us turn to the Lord, prayerfully, as a nation during this time and seek His face. The Lord is our strength and the Lord will not leave us.

In Christ,
Pastor Ryan Marks
